Engine Expo is the most important international trade show in Europe for engine technology - the ONLY event to feature the International Engine of the Year Awards. In 2010 the world’s engine designers and key engineers will have another essential reason to attend the Stuttgart-based show: Engine Expo 2010 will have a pavilion dedicated to next-generation battery electric, hybrid and fuel-cell powertrain technologies. The 2010 show looks set to provide the most intense concentration of engine component manufacturers and technology providers anywhere in the world.

Engine Expo 2010 will be also be staged alongside Automotive Testing Expo, where many of the world’s leading engine test-equipment companies will be exhibiting, thus creating a exceptional environment for new component and product evaluation, meeting the industry, consolidating existing business relationships, and keeping up with the latest concepts and ideas. In 2009, thousands of key automotive specifiers and decision makers from nearly 50 countries worldwide packed the Messe Stuttgart over the three days of the event to attend Engine Expo and Automotive Testing Expo Europe, as well as the neighbouring Vehicle Dynamics Expo and European Automotive Components Expo.

Electric & Hybrid Pavilion

Engine Expo 2010 will host its first-ever Electric & Hybrid Pavilion, with a dedicated area exclusively for businesses displaying next-generation battery electric, hybrid and fuel-cell powertrain technologies. Exhibitors will benefit from meeting the key decision makers and engineering professionals from major OEMs and niche car, bus and truck powertrain teams.

Open Technology Forum

Situated in the heart of Engine Expo, the Open Technology Forum is free to attend and covers the latest technologies, concepts and business-related presentations from many of the world’s leading experts in powertrain design, development, manufacture, logistics and marketing.

Regular topics include: emissions, alternative fuels, engine testing, component materials and surface treatment, forced induction technologies, transmissions and, of course, next-generation, zero-emission powertrains.

International Engine of the Year Awards

The highly acclaimed and influential International Engine of the Year Awards take place LIVE on the second day of Engine Expo. These have become some of the most sought-after accolades within the automotive industry, with the winners often using the awards for television and advertising campaigns.

The International Engine of the Year Awards presentation attracts the most senior automotive executives, VIPs and journalists from around the world, bringing exhibitors into close contact with some of the most influential people within the automotive industry.
